Peak season: December to April
The dry season brings warm days, low humidity, and reliable sunshine — the best weather of the year, and the busiest. It covers the Christmas and New Year holidays, school breaks, and the Easter period. Villas command premium rates and the best homes book months ahead, so plan early — especially for villas for Christmas and New Year.
Shoulder season: May, June and November
The edges of the calendar often offer the best value. Weather is still largely warm and sunny with the occasional shower, rates ease off peak levels, and the communities are quieter. For couples and flexible families, this is often the sweet spot.
Summer and autumn: July to October
Summer is hot and green, with higher humidity and short tropical downpours that usually pass quickly. This period overlaps the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs roughly June to November and peaks late summer — serious storms are uncommon on any given date, but worth noting and worth travel insurance. The upside is lower rates and school-holiday availability for families.
